The company was founded in 1994 as a management buyout by Stephan Baur, Dieter Müller and Alois Knöferle as BMK professional electronics GmbH. Formerly it was a subsidiary of AT&T Inc. Over the last decade the company has had an average annual growth over 10%.
In 2004, 2005 and 2014 BMK Group was awarded as best Electronics Manufacturing Company by the renowned German EMS-Awards.
